Dear Friends and Family: I write to remind you that our gathering is still on schedule and ready to go. Everyone is working hard to make this a successful gathering and maybe become an annual gathering. The schedule still stays the same but as always it is subject to change. If you are planning to arrive on Friday and want to get together, some of us will be meeting at the El Tapitio located at: 13941 Northwest Blvd. Corpus Christi, TX 78410 361-387-8216 Directions: Exit on FM 624 also known as Northwest Blvd Turn West on FM 624 also known as Northwest Blvd Go approximately one quarter mile El Tapitio is on the South side of the street The meeting time will be 7:00 PM. If you plan to come can you, please, let me know so I can give them a count so they can be ready for us. We are also asking for a head count for those who will be attending the gathering so that we can make sure we have enough food. If you are for sure coming or maybe thinking about coming let us know so that we can make the proper arrangements. I will speak as your Vice Chairman with the agreement of our Chairman, Bernard Barcena, that things are moving in a good way and that things are getting accomplished for the tribe. The gathering will be a time to get together and meet each other. We as Lipan Apaches have been spread far and between and are finally coming together as one. It has not been an easy road as we have received opposition from all sides, but as always and as Apaches, we have and will prevail. With all of us working together and helping out where we can we will be victorious. If you cannot come to this gathering, it is OK. We will have more opportunities in the future to come together as one people and as one tribe. For those who are coming, we, the council of the Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas, are looking forward to meet you. God bless and as we work together with our God and Creator's help, we will stand strong again as a tribe as our ancestors have in times past.
